Words of Wisdom Suggested Reading Teaching Principles
Greg Boliard began studying Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do
Martial Arts in 1969 and has been teaching the Korean
style since 1974. By virtue of quality instruction,
patience, and enthusiasm, Grand Master Boliard has established
the Korean art as one of Michigan's top Do Jangs.
Grand Master Boliard received his Bachelor of Science
in Education degree from Eastern Michigan University
in 1974. Throughout his college years he was studying
and teaching Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do. He received both
his 1st degree Black Belt (Dan) and his teaching degree
in 1974. After 27 years of teaching, Grand Master Boliard
received his 8th degree Black belt on September 29,
2001 testing at his Do Jang under the tutelage of Grand
Master Jae Joon Kim.
In 1996 Grand Master Greg Boliard received his shidoin
(License to teach) after completion of an eight month
Instructors Training Program directed by John Viol Shihon.
Grand Master Boliard has spent more than 13 years studying
the art of Iaido (Samurai Swordsmanship) and classical
weaponry. Six of those years were under the mentorship
of John Viol Shihon.
Grand Master Greg Boliard has also orchestrated and
promoted bodybuilding contests, martial arts tournaments,
volleyball tournaments, and a wide variety of seminars
for more than 25 years.
Grand Master Greg Boliard continues to develop the
Korean Art of Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do. His background
in Physical education and over 20 years experience of
coaching middle school, high school, and junior college
athletes add to the assurance that his students receive
only the highest quality education..
